Services for waste and secondary raw materials

We send waste for disposal or recovery, arrange transport by road and sea and the rental of roll-off containers and compactors, carry out turnkey clearances and trade in secondary raw materials (SRM). You can come to us for a single service or for several together.

Where we send waste

We arrange the transport of waste and send it to the right plant: for disposal or for recovery, including energy recovery.

For each destination you will find the code of its operation: D stands for disposal, R for recovery.

  • D1 D5: Disposal in landfill

In landfills in Italy, for mainly non-hazardous waste.

  • R1: Energy recovery in waste-to-energy plants

Mainly in Northern Europe, for non-hazardous waste: they produce electricity and heat.

  • R3 R12 R13: Treatment and upgrading in plants

In Italy and in the partner countries, to get more value out of the waste. Some plants mix the waste with other waste to produce SRF (solid recovered fuel), which replaces fossil fuels such as coal and petcoke.

  • MBT (mechanical biological treatment) plants

A dry and a wet fraction leave their flow, the wet one stabilised in biocells: we collect both and arrange their transport to landfill or to energy recovery.

Transport by road and sea

We arrange transport, mainly by road and by sea, all the way to the destination plants in Italy and abroad.

  • By road

We arrange transport with the right vehicle for each load:

    • Hook-lift trucks with a grab crane
    • Hook-lift truck-and-trailer combinations
    • Curtain-sided articulated trucks
    • Tipper articulated trucks
    • Watertight tipper bodies
    • Walking-floor semi-trailers
  • By sea

from 3,000 to 5,500 tonnes per full ship

On full ships or in containers, always by sea.

Shipments abroad

We handle the notification for waste shipments abroad ourselves: from obtaining the financial guarantees and preparing the whole notification dossier to securing consent for the transboundary shipment. And, of course, their transport and destination.

Rental of roll-off containers and compactors

  • Roll-off containers and compactors

We arrange their rental for you, to collect material at your premises.

  • Placement

We arrange for the roll-off container or compactor you hire to be put in place, also using a hook-lift truck with a grab crane.

  • Loading operations

We also arrange loading operations with grab-crane hook-lift trucks.

Turnkey clearances

Need to empty a warehouse? We take care of it, turnkey: not just the transport and disposal, or the transport and recovery, but the whole job.

We go into the industrial unit or warehouse and sort the materials right there: WEEE on one side, paints on another, then wood, iron, plasterboard, concrete. That way every material gains value and you save money. Then we load everything onto roll-off containers and send it for recovery or disposal.

See two of our clearances, before and after

A clearance: we sort the materials on site Silent video, 19 seconds
  1. We arrive with our staff

We come on site with our workers, for example to the warehouse you need to empty.

  2. We sort the waste by type

Wood with wood, paper with paper, paint with paint, and the same for every type.

  3. We make separate piles

One pile for each type of waste.

  4. We load the vehicles

Once the waste has been sorted, we do the loading ourselves.

  5. We take everything to the plants

Recovery or disposal plants, depending on the material.

Two clearances, before and after

Two clearances we carried out, filmed and photographed on site: how the premises looked before and during the work, and how we left them.

A shop, all on one floor

One large hall full of shelving, paint tins, boxes, bags and mixed materials. We sorted everything on site, loaded the containers and left the hall empty, from the back wall to the shop windows.

After

A warehouse on two floors

Two floors linked by a staircase, with long rows of shelving: boxes, furniture, equipment and materials everywhere, on the floor too. We cleared both floors, leaving empty shelves and clear floors.

What we separate on site

  • Wood
  • Paper
  • Paints / catalysts / solvents
  • WEEE
  • Iron
  • Plasterboard
  • Concrete and inert waste
  • Plastic
  • Textiles
  • Mixed packaging
  • Bulky waste

WEEE is waste electrical and electronic equipment: televisions, computer mice, mobile phones, printers, hairdryers, microwaves, fridges, freezers, ovens and the like.

We separate paints by type (water-based, solvent-based, catalysts), then pack and film-wrap them ready for loading.

Why separating pays off

The more mixed waste is, the more it costs to dispose of and the more it pollutes. By separating it on site:

  • You save on disposal
  • Every material is recovered better
  • There is less pollution

Trade and consultancy

The commercial side of our work: secondary raw materials, and advice on finding your way in their market.

  • SRM transport and trade

We buy and sell secondary raw materials, above all paper and cardboard, but also plastics, and arrange their transport: these are materials recovered from waste that go back into use to make new products.

  • Commercial consultancy

We support you in the commercial and environmental decisions that concern your waste and secondary raw materials.

Some of the EER codes we handle

Every type of waste is identified by a six-digit code from the European List of Waste, known in Italy as EER (Elenco europeo dei rifiuti). Here are some of the codes we handle, among many others. They are listed in ascending order with their official descriptions; an asterisk after a code marks hazardous waste.

In older documents you will find the abbreviation CER: that was the list's name before it became EER.
